Notes of Thanks: Honoring the Legacy of Linda Reichert

  • Settlement Music School 416 Queen Street Philadelphia, PA, 19147 United States (map)

Linda Reichert co-founded Network for New Music in 1984. As Artistic Director, she has helped lead the group into prominence as one of the finest new music ensembles in the United States. Hailed as “[Philadelphia’s] premier new music organization” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Network has presented more than 650 works including 138 commissioned pieces.

Under Linda’s leadership, the Network for New Music Commissioning Fund was established in 2014 as a permanent, ongoing reserve fund to support the creation of new works. Network is one of the first ensembles nationwide to maintain its own dedicated commissioning fund, ensuring that premieres are an essential part of the programming.

Although there is free parking in the lot at Settlement, and although both of these events are somewhat west and south of the concert site, there may be detours along your route or fewer street spaces nearby once the Settlement lot is filled. For your convenience, here is a link that shows Parking Lots near Queen Village (409 Christian St. Parking referenced here is Settlement's lot). Please research your options in advance as not all lots are available to public and some are not open on Sundays -- these are suggestions only, and not guaranteed. Please plan accordingly.
