Inspired by author and illustrator Edward Gorey’s The Gashlycrumb Tinies, Carla Kihlstedt’s song cycle for singing violinist and chamber orchestra 26 Little Deaths builds a macabre soundscape that expands on the world of this morbidly humorous alphabet book.
