The Network Ensemble presents a rarely-performed quintet by American master Vincent Persichetti, as well as the chamber music of several of the hundreds of students he taught and inspired during his lifetime.

The evening features the world premiere of a new concerto for English horn and strings by Persian composer Behzad Ranjbaran. The concerto is performed by Elizabeth Starr Masoudnia, Principal English Horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and 9 of the city's finest string players. Jan Krzywicki conducts.
