The first performance of this program will be at Rose Hall on UPenn’s campus.
This concert features the U.S. premiere, and Network co-commission (with the Vienna based Reconsil Ensemble), of Actaonella by Lukas Ligeti (György Ligeti’s son). Also on the program, Viet Cuong’s Wax and Wire inspired by Michael Gard’s sculptures, the premiere of guided improvisations by Christopher Burns, a premiere by Philadelphia-based composer Jay Fluellen, and Hale Smith’s Duo for Violin and Piano.
