Rachel Browne joined the Network for New Music team in September of 2017. She earned her Bachelor of Music in studio composition from SUNY Purchase in 2009 and has been deeply involved in the music world ever since. Her first nonprofit experience was a longstanding internship at BAM, which piqued her interest in the coalescence of these two worlds. Rachel has spent a large portion of the past decade writing, recording and performing in her rock band, Field Mouse. She is happy to return to the nonprofit sector, incorporating her love of music and community into her work with Network.
Rachel is also a visual artist, poet, and comedy enthusiast. When she is not on the job at Network, she can be found working at Drexel’s Mandell Theater, writing, recording & playing rock shows with her band, and enjoying the outdoors. She has a passion for building community through the arts and a knack for digital media and production; with this, she plans to help Network for New Music grow and thrive.
