Arne Running, Clarinet

Arne Running was born and raised in Moorhead, Minnesota. He began the study of the clarinet at age eleven and six years later was winner of a statewide Young Musical Artists competition, performing the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the Minnesota Orchestra.

Running received his BM degree with highest honors in clarinet from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, and his MM degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. He currently maintains an active freelance career in the Philadelphia area, and is a member of the Riverside Symphonia, Network for New Music, Orchestra 2001 and the Ocean City Pops. His compositions have been published, performed and recorded internationally.
